Festival of the Firs
For generations, Mason County families have celebrated the holidays surrounded by evergreen traditions. This Christmas season, Festival of the Firs invites you to step into that story with a celebration of our forests, our timber heritage, and the people who have shaped our community.
Back by popular demand, our festive logging camp brings the legends of Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox to life as part of our Christmastown celebration. It’s a little bit of logging history, a little bit of holiday magic, and a whole lot of Mason County spirit.
During the holidays, our Beauchamp Santa also celebrates a remarkable chapter in our past — when Mason County was one of the nation’s leading producers of Christmas trees in the mid-1900s. Firs harvested from local forests were loaded onto railcars and shipped across the country, carrying a little piece of Mason County Christmas to families far beyond the Pacific Northwest.
